Mr Young is an exemplary surgeon. I had my first operation with him in 2019 and then again on the same knee four weeks ago. I wouldn’t have wanted anybody else to carry out my surgery the second time around and knew Mr Young would be the best person for it. He is very personable and experienced and will always try his very best. Mr Young manages your expectations and truly cares for his patients. You can really tell that he wants you to have the best quality of life possible going forward and will doing anything he can to achieve that. Mr Young’s secretary Tess is also an absolute star and there is nothing she won’t do to help you. She is amazing at what she does and makes the whole process so much easier. I hope I won’t need a third operation but if I ever do I would never choose anyone else but Mr Young and his team.

Dr Young has given me back my life. I had been suffering from a severe meniscus tear for well over a year.I had been unable to walk properly and could no longer play with my 5yr old great granddaughter. Dr Young listened to my concerns, talked me through what was possible and then operated. The treatment of the entire team has be above and beyond my expectations. I would definitely recommend Dr Young and KIMs hospital …even as an NHS patient I was given exemplary care.Thank you all so much.

I had a full knee replacement in the care of Mr Young last November. From pre-op conversations to our final discussion last week, he was clear and concise as to what would happen in the preparation, execution and post op care surrounding the procedure. It's a major operation and he was honest in preparing me for the natural discomfort and pain that would immediately follow the op, so no nasty surprises - just the pain, as I had been told about ! Four months and the pre-op pain that I had, the whole reason for deciding to proceed with the replacement has greatly eased. That which I still experience is there but with exercise and physio getting better all the time From day 1 the prognosis given by Mr Young fully met my expectations for a significant operation. I could not have wished for better advice to help me prepare both physically and mentally for the operation, it's likely short term impact and eventual outcome. Thank you, Mr Young - you're highly recommended ! Chris Porter

Thank you, Mr Young and the team, for the professional and efficient way you replaced my knee, it was a pleasure to meet you. Mr Young walked me through each phase, from pre-op to the timeline for my rehabilitation, giving me realistic advice on each phase. I’m very happy with the flexibility and smooth movement in the new knee joint.
